Carolyn Sue Dazey

Carolyn Sue Dazey, 76, of Hoopeston, passed away at 10:21 p.m. Monday, October 17, 2016, at Carle Foundation Hospital, Urbana, Illinois.
Sue was born on October 24, 1939, in Hoopeston, the daughter of Elmer and Bernice (Matthews) Martin. She married Kenneth Willie Dazey on December 2, 1964, in Rossville, Illinois. He preceded her in death on November 16, 2012.
She is survived by daughters- Ann Schorr of Middleville, Michigan, Theresa Dazey of Phoenix, Arizona; two grandchild-Katie Schorr and Morgan Williams; significant other- Tom Richter.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband; sister- Mary Martin Kwarta; step mother- Maxine Martin.
Sue was a member of the Chestnut Street Church of Christ in Hoopeston. She enjoyed playing cards, loved to sing, croquet, volunteering to help children with reading and spending time with family and friends
A Celebration of Life for Carolyn Sue Dazey will be at 12:00 p.m. Saturday, October 22, 2016, at the Blurton Funeral Home in Hoopeston, with Pastor Sid Payne officiating. Visitation will be 10:00-12:00 a.m. at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to Hoopeston Public Library/Children Programs, 110 North 4th Street, Hoopeston, Illinois, 60942.
