Cathy Lynn Burton

Cathy Lynn Burton, 57, of Champaign, Illinois, passed away at 5:55 a.m. Wednesday, May 25, 2016 at Carle Foundation Hospital, Urbana, Illinois.
Cathy was born on September 25, 1958 in Champaign, Illinois, the daughter of Ralph and Edith (Engles) Black. She graduated from Unity High School class of 1977. She married Earl Leon Burton on September, 29, 1991 in Baker, Louisiana. Earl passed away August, 19, 2007. Cathy worked as a manager for Dairy Queen in Champaign for over fifteen years.
She is preceded in death by parents, husband, brother and one nephew. Surviving is son; Charles Burton, daughters; Tonya Roy, Shannon Black; her adopted sons; 8 sisters; Linda Henry, Donna Musson, Barb Gramley, Debbie Ridinger, Jeannie Henson, Patty Richardson, Janet Black, Mary Jo Black , 2 brothers; Rick Black, Tim Black.
Cathy enjoyed reading, gardening, flowers and her dogs and cats. She especially enjoyed her family and grandchildren.
A Celebration of Life for Cathy Burton will be at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, June 1, 2016 at Blurton Funeral Home of Hoopeston. Burial will follow the service at Floral Hill Cemetery. Memorials may be made in care of the Burton Family. The family has entrusted the Blurton Funeral Home to assist them in honoring Cathy Burton's life.
