James "Jim" Curtis Edenburn, 82, of Potomac, passed away at 8:43 p.m. Tuesday, December 8, 2015, at his home.
Jim was born on July 23, 1933, in Potomac, the son of Arthur and Flossie (Larkin) Edenburn. He married Judith "Judy" Bauer on March 23, 1962, in Danville. She survives.
He is survived by son- James L. "Buddy" (Lisa) Edenburn of Penfield; two granddaughters- Bailey Marie Edenburn and Miranda Jane Edenburn; sister- Delcina Austin of Tilton; several nieces and nephews; and his special companion-Dice.
He was preceded in death by his parents, three brothers- Charles, Robert and Franklin Edenburn and a sister- Doris Pichon.
Jim attended Potomac High School and served in the United States Army from 1953-1955, during the Korean Conflict. He worked at Esco Corp. and Quaker Oats in Danville, until he retired in 1995. After retiring, he continued to help Henry and Phil Thornton farm. Jim was a member of the American Legion and AARP. He enjoyed gardening, fishing, hunting, carpentry and spending time with his grandchildren.
A Celebration of Jim's Life will be held at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, December 12, 2015, at the Blurton Funeral Home in Potomac, with Brian Blackford officiating. Burial will follow the service in Potomac Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Friday at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to the Potomac Public Library.
