Reva F. Lloyd, 97, of Hoopeston, passed away at 6:15 p.m. Tuesday, January 17, 2017, at Heritage Health, in Hoopeston.
Mrs. Lloyd was born on August 2, 1919, in Mt. Carmel, Illinois, the daughter of James and Maude (Fessler) Wallace. She married Leon Lloyd on September of 1938, in Henderson, Kentucky. He preceded her in death on May 30, 1966.
She is survived by one son- Pastor Jim (Temple) Lloyd of Willis, Texas; and many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great grandchildren and nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, son- Steven Lloyd, one brother, five sisters, one grandchild and one great-great grandchild.
Mrs. Lloyd was born and raised in Mt. Carmel, Illinois and moved to Hoopeston, in 1949. She worked at Shumaker Electric, as a supervisor, from 1967 until she retired, in 1985. She was a member of the Morning Star Church in Rossville and the American Legion Auxiliary. She enjoyed playing cards and bingo.
Graveside services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, January 21, 2017, at Rossville Cemetery, with Chaplain John Franklin and Pastor Dan Mikel officiating. Memorials may be made in lieu of flowers to Iroquois Memorial Hospice. The family has entrusted the Blurton Funeral Home to assist them in honoring Mrs. Lloyd's life.
