Alice Marie (Butcher) Phillips, 80, of Danville, passed away at 1:40 a.m. Sunday, November 4, 2018, at OSF Sacred Heart Medical Center, in Danville.
Mrs. Phillips was born on February 28, 1938, in Danville, the daughter of Cecil and Sylvia (Rector) Butcher. She married Darrell Lee Phillips on July 28, 1956, in Johnsonville, Indiana. He preceded her in death on January 12, 1981.
She is survived by five sons- Kenneth (Cher) Phillips, Jerald Phillips, Russell (Chris) Phillips, William Phillips and Mark Phillips; eleven grandchildren- Ambre, Shelby, Damion, Jenifer, Erin, Andrew, Zachary, Whitney, Kendra, Terra and Devin; eight great-grandchildren and one on the way; one great-great grandchild; and her life-long friend- Mary Lee Estes.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, two daughters- Brenda and Donna Phillips, one sister and five brothers.
Alice graduated from Danville High School. She was a member of the Alvin Church of God, where in her younger years she taught Sunday School. She enjoyed crafting, cooking and loved spending time with her family and friends during the holidays. Alice was always the most excited “kid” during Christmas. She was the best mom and was always known as mom to all of her family and loved ones.

Graveside Services will be held at 11:30 a.m. Friday, November 9, 2018, at Gundy Cemetery, in Bismarck, with Pastor Dan Hunt officiating. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Alvin Church of God. The family has entrusted the Blurton Funeral Home to assist them in honoring Mrs. Phillip’s life.
