Beverly Maxine Rush

Beverly Maxine Rush, 87, of Bismarck, passed away at 2:45 a.m. Saturday, December 16, 2017, at Decatur Memorial Hospital.
Mrs. Rush was born on June 18, 1930, in Lafayette, Indiana, the daughter of John and Effie Mae (Cox) Wells.  She married Floyd G. Rush on July 17, 1948, in Alvin, Illinois.  He preceded her in death on July 18, 1998.
She is survived by two sons- Chris (Karen) Rush of Decatur and Stan (Nola) Rush of Alvin; three grandchildren- Karrie (Darrin) Thomason, Jackie Toellner and Amber Rush; and seven great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, one great-grandchild and two brothers.
Mrs. Rush graduated from Bismarck Township High School in 1948, and later graduated from Danville Beauty School.  She worked as a beautician from her home for several years, until Beverly and Floyd both decided to go back to college and become LPN's.  They worked as LPN's for several years in Illinois and Arizona, until their retirement.  Beverly was a member of Bismarck First Church of Christ.  She enjoyed doing word search puzzles, plastic canvas needlework and spending time with her family.  In the winters, Floyd and Beverly would enjoy vacationing to Arizona every year. 
Graveside services will be held at 11:30 a.m. Wednesday, December 20, 2017, at Gundy Cemetery, in Bismarck, with Pastor Miles Clark officiating.  Memorials may be made to the Alzheimer's Association.  The family has entrusted the Blurton Funeral Home to assist them in honoring Beverly's life.  Memories or condolences may be shared with the family on her everlasting memorial page at:  www.blurtonfuneralhomes.com.
