Carol Sue Arrowsmith, 68, of Danville, formerly of Potomac, passed away at 5:50 a.m. Monday, September 26, 2016, at Danville Care Center.
Carol was born on August 9, 1948, in Danville, the daughter of William and Margaret (Spain) Bird. She is survived by her mother- Margaret Bird of Danville; three sons- Charles (Janet) King of Yankeetown, Florida, Mark King of Westville, Illinois and John Strawser of Danville; two brothers-Franklin Bird of Rantoul and William (Susie) Bird of Potomac; one sister- Janet (Dan) Irwin of Champaign; six grandchildren; twelve great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her father- William Bird.
Carol graduated from East Lynn High School and later graduated from DACC, with her Associates Degree. She worked at KIK Products for 35 years, until her retirement. She has worked for the last 5 years as the deli manager at the Catlin IGA. She enjoyed sewing, working and spending time with her family and friends.
A Memorial Visitation will be held from 4:00 p.m. - 7:00 p.m. Thursday, September 29, 2016, at the Blurton Funeral Home, in Potomac. Graveside Service will be held at 10:00 a.m. Friday, September 30, 2016 at the Potomac Cemetery, with Pastor Dan Mikel officiating. Memorials may be made to the family. According to her wishes cremation rites will be accorded. The family has entrusted the Blurton Funeral Home to assist them in honoring her life.
