Donna Darlene Coffey, 64, of Rossville, passed away at 9:19 p.m. Thursday, August 29, 2019, at Carle Hoopeston Regional Health Center.
Donna was born on May 15, 1955, in Danville, the daughter of Gerald and Dorothy (Williams) Vaughn. She married Gordon Coffey, in 1989, in Paducah, Kentucky. He survives.
She is also survived by one daughter- Stacey Brant of Rossville; four step-daughters- Amy Bogard of Hoopeston, Patty Coffey of Litchfield, Dena Coffey of Hoopeston and Wendy Thompson of Texas; three steps-sons- Linden Coffey, Chad Coffey and Richard Coffey all of Hoopeston; two grandchildren- Scotty and Donna Brant; one great-grandchild- Bentlee Brant; over 30 step-grandchildren and great-grandchildren that she loved very much; five sisters- Carlene Rascher of Cissna Park, Vauna Proper of Utica, PA, Doris Schultz of Rossville, Theresa Casner of Rossville and Tina Cox of Rockville, Indiana; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, step-daughter- Sissy Coffey, four brothers- Gerald "Jerry" Vaughn, Rick Vaughn, Kenneth Vaughn and Robert Vaughn and two sisters- Carol Smith and Diane Coriel.
Donna worked for over 14 years at Wal-Mart, in Danville, in the photo lab. She enjoyed going to rummage sales and spending time with her children and grandchildren.
A Celebration of Donna's Life will be held at 3:00 p.m. Tuesday, September 3, 2019, at Blurton Funeral Home, in Potomac, with Pastor Dan Mikel officiating. Visitation will be from 1:00-3:00 p.m. Tuesday, at the funeral home. Burial will be in Potomac Cemetery following the services. Memorials may be made to the family to assist with funeral expenses.
