Judith Ann (Thomas) Obenland

Judith Ann Obenland, 74, of Urbana, formerly of Hoopeston, passed away at 1:30 a.m. Monday, October 30, 2017, at Carle Foundation Hospital, in Urbana. Judi was born on November 13, 1942, in Hoopeston, Illinois, the daughter of William and Frances (Campbell) Thomas. She is survived by three sons- Allen Obenland of Bella Vista, Arkansas, Ty Obenland of Indianapolis, Indiana and Brock Obenland of Villa Grove, Illinois; seven grandchildren; brother, Terry, and; sisters Ellen, Sandy and Penny. She was preceded in death by her parents, William and Frances; a sister, Jody; and brother, Bill (Bud). Judi was retired and was an avid reader, who enjoyed her books tremendously. According to her wishes cremation rites will be accorded. The family has entrusted the Blurton Funeral Home to assist them in honoring Ms. Obenland’s life.
