Wanda Mae (Seaton) Cox

Wanda Mae Seaton Cox, 92, of Urbana, passed away at 6:35 p.m. Tuesday, December 19, 2017, at Champaign-Urbana Nursing and Rehab, in Savoy.

Mrs. Cox was born on April 18, 1925, in Ogden, Illinois, the daughter of Charles and Ava M. (Hixenbaugh) Boyd.  She married Wilber Cox on December 6, 1996, in Valdosta, Georgia.  He preceded her in death on December 28, 2000.

She is survived by two sons-Lowell Seaton of Sadorus, Illinois and Gary (Karen) Seaton of Urbana, Illinois; seven grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, daughter- Barbara Norcutt, son- Kenneth Seaton, and three sisters.

Wanda graduated from Ogden High School in 1943.  She enjoyed flowers, doing crafts, fishing and watching TV.

A Celebration of Wanda Mae Seaton Cox’s Life will be at 2:00 p.m. Friday, December 22, 2017, at Blurton Funeral Home in Hoopeston, with Pastor Cathy Najmon officiating.  Visitation will be from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.  She will be laid to rest in Rossville Cemetery.  Memorials may be made to the family.  The family has entrusted the Blurton Funeral Home to assist them in honoring Mrs. Cox’s life.  Memories and condolences may be shared with the family on her everlasting memorial page at:  www.blurtonfuneralhomes.com.
