Roger Dale "Catnip" Moulden, 71, of Rossville, formerly of Potomac, passed away at 8:20 p.m. Thursday, November 26, 2015, at Heartland Healthcare in Paxton.
Roger was born on November 23, 1944, in Cheneyville, Illinois, the son of Henry and Margie (Cross) Moulden.
He is survived by two daughters- Mellissa (George) Searcy and Julie (Michael) Kietzman both of Rankin; one son- Henry (Juli) Moulden of Potomac; fourteen grandchildren; eighteen great-grandchildren; three sisters- Mary (Terry) Weathers of Bismarck, Christine (Jim) Williams of Salem, Indiana and Carol (Larry) Tuck of Elizabethtown, Kentucky; and Janet Upperman of Rossville, who has been his significant other for the last 25 years.
He was preceded in death by his father- Henry Moulden, mother- Margie Bradford and a grandchild- Jewels Moulden.
Roger graduated from Armstrong High School. He worked for several years as auto mechanic. Roger attended the Morningstar Church in Rossville. He enjoyed fishing, coon hunting, gold prospecting, gambling, working on cars, stock car racing and family cookouts.
According to his wishes cremation rites will be accorded by the Blurton Funeral Home in Potomac. Graveside services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Saturday at the Potomac Cemetery with Pastor Dan Mikel officiating. A Memorial Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday at the Morningstar Church in Rossville. Memorials may be made to the family.
