Betty E. Logan, 80, of Urbana, passed away at 3:08 p.m. Monday, February 7, 2022, at Carle Foundation Hospital, in Urbana.
Betty was born on August 2, 1941, in Champaign, Illinois, the daughter of Harley D. and Cora Juanita (Walden) Minear. She was previously married to Charles Ridinger on October 31, 1958, in Homer, Illinois and later she married John Logan on February 5, 1977, in Homer, Illinois. He survives.
She is also survived by two daughters- Sara (Donald) Glenn Jr. of St. Joseph, Illinois and Mary (Ray) Ridinger of Westville; one son- Shannon Logan of Ft. Dix, New Jersey; step-daughter- Rebecca Logan of Decatur, Illinois and Cheryl Redden of Tampa, Florida; step-son- James “Devin” Logan of Port Richie, Florida; two grandchildren; four step-grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; two sisters- Nancy Harden of Clinton, Illinois and Linda (Lamar) Simmons of Dothan, Alabama; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, step-son- Ronald Logan, brother- Theodore Minear and sister- Barbara Collier.
Betty was a member of the Living Word Family Church, in St. Joseph. She enjoyed crafts, puzzle books and crocheting.
A Celebration of Betty’s Life will be held at a later date. Cremation rites will be accorded by the Blurton Funeral Home, in Potomac. Condolences may be shared with the family on her everlasting memorial page at: www.BlurtonFuneralHomes.com.
