Betty “Lynn” Pine, 57, of Allerton, formerly of Danville, passed away at 9:54 a.m. Saturday, August 13, 2022, at Carle Foundation Hospital, in Urbana.
Lynn was born on December 16, 1964, in Danville, Illinois, the daughter of Floyd Allen and Norma J. (Smith) Pine. She is survived by her son- Dustin Layne Pine of Ludlow, Illinois; two grandchildren- Ethan and Elijah Pine; two brothers- Charles (Joanne) Pine of Paxton, Illinois and Brandon Pine of Dewey, Illinois; two sisters- Suzi Curry of Paxton, Illinois and Kari J. Pine of Potomac, Illinois; special nephew who was like a grandson- Mark Ortega of Potomac; several nieces and nephews; and two “adopted” daughters- Melissa Rocha of Mt. Prospect, Illinois and Brandy Dillion of Danville, Illinois.
She was preceded in death by her parents and sister- Penny Smith.
Lynn worked as a home health caretaker. She was a past member of the Homer Church of the Nazarene. She enjoyed reading, listening to music and writing poetry. She loved her cat and dog and spending time with her grandchildren.
According to her wishes cremation rites will be accorded and there are not any services scheduled at this time. The family has entrusted the Blurton Funeral Home, in Potomac, to assist them in honoring Lynn’s life.
