Bonnie W. (Waugh) Berglund

Bonnie W. Berglund, 97, of Lady Lake, Florida, formerly of Rossville, passed away at 9:43 a.m. Wednesday, December 14, 2022, at Cornerstone Hospice, in The Villages, Florida.

Bonnie was born on September 2, 1925, in Collison, Illinois, the daughter of Charles S. and Flora E. (Adams) Waugh.  She married Delmar Berglund on September 26, 1949, at the First Church of the Nazarene in Danville, Illinois. 

Bonnie and Delmar, who preceded her in death on September 8, 2004, had a long and full life with family and friends, in community service and in helping people. This included fostering many children. Bonnie put her creativity and superior sewing skills to good use in many ways, including costumes for community theatre; choir robes; gift quilts and doll clothes, and as the owner of the Bridal Shoppe in Danville for many years. 

 She is survived by two daughters- Linda Good of Casa Grande, Arizona and Terry (Clive) Campbell of Ottawa, Canada and a son- Kenneth (Crystal) Berglund of Greenwood, Indiana, ten grandchildren, and nine great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, four sisters- Louise Aug, Francis Bussard, Pauline Hayn and Nettie Randall- and three brothers- Espie, Eugene and Keith Waugh, a son, Kris, and a grandson, Erik.

Bonnie was a member of the First Church of the Nazarene in Danville. 

A Celebration of Bonnie’s Life will be held at 12:00 p.m. Tuesday, December 20, 2022, at Blurton Funeral Home in Potomac with Pastor Dave Anderson officiating.  Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.  She will be laid to rest in Potomac Cemetery following the services.  Memorials may be made to the First Church of the Nazarene, Danville.  The family has entrusted the Blurton Funeral Home to assist them in honoring Bonnie’s life.  Condolences may be shared with the family on her everlasting memorial page at:  www.BlurtonFuneralHomes.com.
