Carol Sue McKinley, 82, of Bismarck, IL, formerly of El Paso, IL and Kansas City, KS, passed away on August 13, 2025, at her home.

She was born July 13, 1943, in Lewistown, IL, to Arthur and Pauline (Brillhart) Yocum.  She married Wesley E. McKinley on September 3, 1961, in Gridley, IL.  He preceded her in death on January 27, 2022.

She is survived by two daughters-Lucinda Kay (Bruce) Johnson and Lori Sue (James) Johnson; six grandchildren-Michael Peters, Eric (Hannah) Johnson, Shawn (Megan) Johnson, Tyler (Lindsey) Peters, Mitchell (Julia) Peters and Samone Johnson; thirteen great-grandchildren; one brother- Keith Yocum of Cedar Park, TX; one sister- Beth Ann (Robert) Hazzard of Lewistown, IL; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, two brothers- Robert and Gerald Yocum and one sister- Paula Yocum.

Carol was employed for several years at Plastic Pack in Kansas City, KS, prior to her retirement. She was an active member of Stony Point Christian Church in Kansas City, KS. Her interests included quilting, sewing, baking, cooking, and spending quality time with her family.

Visitation is scheduled from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, August 21st, 2025, at Edgewood Church, located at 236 Poland Rd., Danville, IL. In accordance with Carol’s wishes, cremation rites will be accorded following visitation, with interment to follow at a later date in Gridley Cemetery.
