Carolyn Sue Clayburn, 75, of Hoopeston, passed away at 9:12 p.m. Sunday, April 4, 2021, at her home.
Carolyn was born on October 23, 1945, in Danville, the daughter of Clarence and Velma (Andrews) Clements. She married Jerry Clayburn on May 8, 1964, in Danville. He survives.
She is also survived by one daughter- Tammy (Doug) Lewis of Hoopeston; two grandchildren- P.J. Bailey of Hoopeston and Summer (Tony) Badger of Covington; eight great-grandchildren- Kaydence, Carter, Kinzley, Kambrey and Kaizley Bailey, Bentley and Lyla Badger and Kingston Jennings; and sister-in-law/best friend- Freda Norenberg of Hoopeston.
She was preceded in death by her parents and sister- Diane Clements.
Carolyn graduated from DACC, with her Associates Degree in computer programming. She worked at Howard Industries, for 20 years, as a supervisor and Hobbbico, in Champaign, for 12 ½ years, until her retirement. Carolyn enjoyed flower gardening, going to garage sales, going for car rides in the country, camping, fishing, working in her yard and most of all spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
