Debra Ann Wheeler Obituary

Debra Ann Wheeler, 62, of Tilton, passed away at 6:12 a.m. Wednesday, April 17, 2024, surrounded by family.

She was born on January 10, 1962, in Danville, the daughter of William Bowling and Cassandra “Sandy” (Watrous) Gay.

She is survived by one step-daughter- Tish (Shane) Foley of Oakwood; several grandchildren; two brothers- Kenton Bowling and Shannon Bowling both of Tilton; sister- Michelle (Brian) Makowski of Danville; step-father- Jim Gay of Danville; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, two infant brothers- William Robert Bowling and William Corbin Bowling and her maternal and paternal grandparents.

She worked for several years at the Vermilion County Courthouse doing buildings and grounds maintenance.  She enjoyed her time there and working with her co-workers.  Debra also enjoyed fishing, crocheting, painting, coloring and being around family.

According to her wishes cremation rites have been arranged and a memorial service will be held at a later date.  She will be laid to rest in Greenwood Cemetery.  The family has entrusted the Blurton Funeral Home, in Potomac, to assist them in honoring Debra’s life.  Condolences may be shared with the family on her everlasting memorial page at:  www.BlurtonFuneralHomes.com.
