Diana Pundt Obituary

Diana Lou Pundt, 82, of Bismarck, passed away at 8:13 p.m. Sunday, February 5, 2023, at Carle Foundation Hospital in Urbana.

Diana was born on October 2, 1940, in Danville, Illinois, the daughter of Darrell Henry and Ruth Nadine (Abernathy) Bever.  She married Charles Emmons Pundt on June 26, 1964 in Danville.  He preceded her in death on December 12, 2008.

She is survived by three sons: Richard (Alison) Pundt of Covington, Indiana, Mike (Doris) Pundt of Bismarck, Illinois and Chuck Pundt of Bismarck, Illinois; four grandchildren: Brandon (Katie) Pundt, Chyanna (Ross Lange) Pundt, Joseph Pundt and Elisabeth Pundt; two great-grandchildren:  Reagan and Evelyn Pundt and Baby Lange on the way; one brother: Richard Bever of Veedersburg, Indiana; and several very special nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and one brother: Joe Bever; and also Daisy, her special canine companion.

Diana graduated from Covington High School in 1958.  She started working at the Sweet Shoppe in Danville as a cake decorator in 1983 and worked until they closed.  She later worked as a cook at Bismarck-Henning High School for several years until her retirement.  She enjoyed cake decorating and baking.  Family was Diana’s priority and she loved spending time with her grandchildren and her great grandchildren.  She also loved spending time with her dog, Daisy.

A Celebration of Diana’s Life will be held at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, February 11, 2023, at Blurton Funeral Home, in Potomac, with Dr. Daniel Kitinoja officiating.  Visitation will be from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home.  Burial will follow the service at Gundy Cemetery in Bismarck.  Memorials may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association.  The family has entrusted the Blurton Funeral Home to assist them in honoring Diana’s life.  Condolences may be shared with the family on her everlasting memorial page at:  www.BlurtonFuneralHomes.com.
