Douglas Edward Nord II, 29, of Danville, passed away at 8:30 p.m. Sunday, December 5, 2021, at OSF Sacred Heart Medical Center, in Danville.
Douglas was born on January 25, 1992, in Urbana, the son of Douglas Edward and Dawn (Smith) Nord. He is survived by his parents; fiancé- Chelsey Olivieri of Danville; two daughter- Olivia Bailey and Penelope Nord both of Danville; son- Jasper Nord of Danville; brother-Blake Nord of Danville; two sisters- Danielle (Michael) March of Johnston, Iowa and Courtney Nord of Danville; grandmother- Rita Yauger of Danville; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents- Gene and Harriett Smith.
Douglas worked at Mervis Industries, as an mechanic. He enjoyed watching the stock market and spending time with his children.
Visitation will be from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. Sunday, December 12, 2021, at Blurton Funeral Home, in Potomac. According to his wishes cremation rites will be accorded following the visitation. Memorials may be made to the Epilepsy Foundation. The family has entrusted the Blurton Funeral Home to assist them in celebrating Douglas's life.
