Elizabeth Marie Kirby-Ferguson, 29, of Rossville, passed away at 6:00 a.m. Wednesday, November 28, 2018, at St. Louis University Hospital, in St. Louis, Missouri.
Elizabeth was born on September 29, 1989, in Indianapolis, Indiana, the daughter of Robert and Julie (Yaden) Kirby. She married John Ferguson on April 16, 2010, in Danville. He survives.
She is also survived by her three children- Halie, Nathan and Christian Ferguson; parents- Robert and Julie Kirby of Hoopeston; sister- Stephanie (Jesse Rosenberger) Kirby of Rossville; maternal grandmother- Beverly Yaden of Hoopeston; two nieces- Elly May and Mia Kirby; mother-in-law- Shirley Ferguson of Haughton, Louisiana; and several aunts, uncles and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her sister- Melinda Kirby; maternal grandfather- Cecil Yaden, paternal grandparents- Keith and Peggy Kirby and father-in-law- Gary Ferguson.
Elizabeth attended Rossville Grade School and Bismarck-Henning High School. She was a member of Antioch Church of Christ. Elizabeth enjoyed fishing, going for walks, riding her bike, penny shopping and flea markets. The love of her life was spending time with her children.
A Celebration of Elizabeth’s Life will be held at 10:00 a.m. Thursday, December 6, 2018, at Blurton Funeral Home, in Hoopeston. She will be laid to rest following the services in Floral Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to Elizabeth’s children to help with their college fund. The family has entrusted the Blurton Funeral Home to assist them in honoring Elizabeth’s life.
