Frances A. Bradley, 82, of Potomac, passed away at 4:50 a.m. Wednesday, May 17, 2023, at Heritage Health, in Hoopeston.

Fran was born on February 20, 1941, in Galesburg, Illinois, the daughter of Clifford and Nora (Wall) Showalter.  She married Bennie W. Bradley on November 5, 1966, in Galesburg.  He preceded her in death on September 11, 1986.

She is survived by two daughters- Angela S. (Dale) Fagan of Hammond, Illinois and Dixie L. (Terry) Bowman of Collison; two sons- Martin C. Bradley of Oakwood and Joey W. (Rhonda) Bradley of Urbana; daughter-in-law- Janet Pettice of Hoopeston; fourteen grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; three brothers- John Showalter of Galesburg, Illinois, Michael Anderson of Auburn, Alabama and David (Chris) Armentrout of New Boston, Illinois; three sisters- Ellen Showalter of Dixon, Illinois, Ruthanne Reardon of Potomac, and Leota Hensley of Abingdon, Illinois; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, step-father- Robert Anderson, husband, son- Jimmie Pettice, daughter-in-law- Carla Bradley, two brothers- Roger Showalter and George Showalter and sister- Becky Anderson.

Fran enjoyed going to the Paradice Riverboat with her sister Ruthanne.  She also enjoyed knitting, singing and playing cards and dice, as long as she was winning.

A Celebration of Fran’s Life will be held at 2:00 p.m. Monday, May 22, 2023, at the Blurton Funeral Home, in Potomac, with Eric Hoover officiating.  Visitation will be from 12:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. Monday, at the funeral home.  She will be laid to rest following the services in the Potomac Cemetery.  Memorials may be made in Fran’s name to Heritage Health.  The family has entrusted the Blurton Funeral Home to assist them in honoring Fran’s life.  Condolences may be shared with the family on her everlasting memorial page at: www.BlurtonFuneralHomes.com.
