It is with great sorrow that we announce the death of the beloved father and friend, Frank Burke. Frank was born in Chicago, IL to Gunner and Elizabeth Burke along with his sister Marcela. Frank was married to Anna Lee Burke (nee Kellogg) on July 2 1978, sadly his beloved Anna passed away in 1988. Frank and Anna had their lovely son Benjamin Burke on March 7, 1980, who Frank often talked about fondly. Frank’s sister Marcela Pazden also sadly passed away this year. Frank was a loving person and cared for all his family and friends. He was a proud Army Veteran that served over 16 years in military service as a nurse. He would often share his military triumphs with passion. He would watch or read the news every day and give everyone the run-down of what was happening to our nations service members. He was someone that would often brighten your day with his “jokes of the day” he would put you to tears with his long and eloquently told jokes. He cared about those that suffered and would be there for people when you needed him the most, a friend to everyone. He was not afraid to admit that he was often hanging out looking for “chicks,” but what he loved the most is to talk with anyone and everyone. If Frank were in room full of people, you can guarantee he would be the life of the party. As we remember him fondly, we are struck with the amount of compassion he would give back to others. According to his wishes, we will celebrate his life at a ceremony on Thursday, October 29, 2020 at 2pm at the Danville National Cemetery. As a proud member of service, he would like all donations to be made to VFW Women's Division in Melrose Park, IL. As his finale “hooah” Frank would like all to know that he is getting his cheeseburger in paradise and catching the biggest fish he can get in his Colorado heaven! Blurton Funeral Home is assisting the family with the arrangements.
