Gary Lee Edenburn

Gary Lee Edenburn, 64, of Potomac, passed away at 2:09 p.m. Saturday, January 15, 2022, at Carle Foundation Hospital, in Urbana.

Gary was born on October 16, 1957, in Germany, the son of Robert W. and Margaret L. (Downing) Edenburn.  He married Mary Maden on December 8, 1995, in Potomac, Illinois.  She survives.

He is also survived by two daughters- Amber (Kyle) Charlesworth of Pine Village, Indiana and Erica Fraley of Champaign; one son- Jason (Sarah) Edenburn of Tolono; five grandchildren- Chasey Edenburn, Kamryn Edenburn, Ivan Charlesworth, Elizabeth Charlesworth and Maxine Lee Charlesworth; three brothers- Bobby (Debbe) Edenburn of Potomac, Ron Edenburn of Potomac and Donnie Edenburn of Danville; four sisters- Shirley Moore of Midland, Texas, Mary Ann Simpson of Danville, Patricia Barnett of Danville and Debra Kay (Paul) Owens of Bismarck; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his parents, grandmother- Flossie Edenburn and brother- Michael Edenburn.

Gary graduated from Potomac High School, in 1975. He served in the United States Marine Corp from 1975 to 1981. Gary worked for 38 years at Jeldwen, in Rantoul, until his retirement in 2021. He was a member of the Potomac Church of the Nazarene. Gary enjoyed woodworking, hunting and spending time with his grandchildren.

According to his wishes cremation rites will be accorded and a celebration of his life will be held at 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, January 19, 2022, at the Potomac Church of the Nazarene.  Visitation will be from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, at the church.  Due to current Covid-19 conditions the family does request that masks be worn at the church.
