Harold “Dean” Bogard, 73, of Hoopeston, passed away at 4:54 p.m. Saturday, August 10, 2019, at Heritage Health, in Hoopeston.
Dean was born on February 8, 1946, in Jamesburg, Illinois, the son of Earl A. and Susan (Gray) Bogard. He married Marsha Seiters on November 27, 1964, in Hoopeston.
He is survived by one daughter- Rebecca (Amy) Bogard of Hoopeston; three sons- William (Janet) Bogard of Hoopeston, Bryan Bogard of Hoopeston and Robert (Cinnamon) Bogard of Lockport, Illinois; one brother- Herman (Marsha) Bogard of Clearwater, Florida; one sister- Candy (Stewart) Widlund of Danville; thirteen grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, three sisters and a grandson.
Dean worked for Food Machinery and Quaker Oats, for several years, until his retirement. He enjoyed traveling, gardening and going to Las Vegas.
