Jack Harold Grovier, 69, of Potomac, passed away at 11:05 a.m. Sunday, August 8, 2021, at his home.
Jack was born on February 19, 1952, in Danville, the son of Harold and Dorothy (Cornell) Grovier.
He is survived by his mother- Dorothy Swan; two daughters- Kimberly (Dennis) Johnston and Ashlee Zarbuck; one son- John Grovier; brother- Dave (Lisa) Grovier; sister- Dianne Perkins: five grandchildren; one great-grandchild; three nieces- Heather Pacheco, Angela Pacheco and Kim Romero; and nephew- Christopher Grovier.
He was preceded in death by his father. daughter- Sara Grovier and sister- Marsha Calderone.
Jack served in the United States Army, following his high school graduation. He worked for several years at AFSI, in Champaign. He was a member of the Potomac American Legion. Jack enjoyed photography, motorcycles and watching auto racing.
Graveside services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Friday, August 13, 2021, at Danville National Cemetery, with full military honors conducted by American Legion Post #210. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the family to assist with Jack's services. The family has entrusted the Blurton Funeral Home to assist them in honoring Jack's life.
