James Miles, 76, of Champaign and formerly of Hoopeston, passed away Wednesday,   June 13, 2018 at OSF Heart of Mary Medical Center, Urbana, Illinois.

James was born on July 10, 1941, in Hoopeston, Illinois, the son of Harold and Jessie(Travis) Miles.

He is also survived by son- Joe Miles of Champaign; grandchild- Travis Miles of Champaign.

He was preceded in death by his parents and son- John Miles.

James worked as a machinist for several years.  He enjoyed golfing, coaching Youth (midget) Football in the 1970’s. He was also an avid Cubs fan, who lived to see them win the World Series.

A Graveside Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, June 19, 2018, at Floral Hill Cemetery, Hoopeston, Illinois. Pastor Adam Taubert will be officiating.
