Jeannine Taylor, 91, of Sadorus, passed away at 4:00 a.m. Tuesday, October 29, 2024, at Pleasant Meadows Nursing Home, in Chrisman where she had been since October 8th, prior to that she was residing at Piatt County Nursing Home.

Jeannine was born on October 7, 1933, in Greenup, Illinois, the daughter of John and Ione (Paul) Compton.  She married Gene Taylor on December 18, 1949, in Newman, Illinois.  He preceded her in death on September 14, 2022.

She is also survived her son- Mike (Patty) Taylor, two daughters- Diane (Kevin) Cooper and Brenda (Bud) Wheeler; grandchildren, Dustin (Natalie) Cooper, Katrina (Ryan Asbury) Cooper, Cindy (Shawn) Tabeling, Christy (Terry Andrews) Burgoni and Victoria (Jon) Vatovec; great-grandchildren, Colton, Andrew and Jacob Asbury, Olivia and Ella Cooper, Austin (Miranda) Tabeling and Katie Tabeling, Kyle and Anna Burgoni.

She was preceded in death by her parents, John & Ione Compton, husband, Gene, daughter, Pattie Taylor and brother, Jack Compton.

Jeannine and Gene were co-owners of the Antique and Curiosity Shop, in Sadorus for over 50 years.
