Jeffrey James Behimer

Jeffrey James Behimer, 64, of Potomac, passed away at 9:27 a.m. Friday, March 24, 2023, at Gilman Healthcare, in Gilman.

Jeff was born on December 30, 1958, in Danville, Illinois, the son of James Edwin and Lillian Frances (Kelly) Behimer. 

He is survived by his parents- James and Fran Behimer of Potomac; two sisters- Julia (Roger) Porter of Potomac and Jennifer (Tom) Zindars of Dewey, Illinois; and several nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents- Melvin and Pauline Behimer and maternal grandparents- Gordon "Bill" and Beverly Kelly.

Jeff graduated from Potomac High School, in 1978.  He loved spending his time with his Uncle Jay Behimer and looking at his race car.  Jeff loved any type of car.  He also enjoyed helping his grandpa on the farm and he loved horses.

According to his wishes cremation rites will be accorded and private family services will be held at a later date.  He will be laid to rest in the Potomac Cemetery.  The family has entrusted the Blurton Funeral Home, in Potomac to assist them in honoring Jeff's life.  Condolences may be shared with the family on his everlasting memorial page at: www.BlurtonFuneralHomes.com.
