Jennifer Nicole (Crawford) Ferris

Jennifer Nicole (Crawford) Ferris, 49, of Tilton, passed away at 3:35 a.m. Tuesday, February 21, 2023, at home surrounded by her family.

Jennifer was born on November 12, 1973, in Danville, Illinois, the daughter of Brad and Becky (Beason) Crawford.  She previously married Douglas Ferris on June 5, 1999, in Danville, Illinois.  He preceded her in death on December 1, 2018.

She is survived by her daughter- Lauren Elizabeth Ferris of Danville; longtime partner- Todd Sprague of Danville; parents- Brad and Becky Crawford of Tilton; brother- Brandon (Sara) Crawford of Danville; sister- Jodi Zedrick of Fishers, Indiana; two nieces- Nia Crawford and Dianna Crawford; five nephews- Brandon Crawford Jr., Chance Crawford, Chase Crawford, Lane Zedrick and Michael Zedrick; special friend- Jennifer (Jen Squared) Maulding of Naperville, Illinois; several aunts, uncles and cousins; and her special four legged friend- Bella.

She was preceded in death by her maternal and paternal grandparents and numerous aunts and uncles.

Jennifer graduated from Danville High School, in 1991 and later attended Eastern Illinois University, where she graduated in 1995, with her bachelor’s degree in finance.  She previously worked at Terminix, in Danville, for 16 years and most recently as a dispatcher for Carnaghi Towing.  She was a member of Phi Beta Chi.  Jennifer loved watching all sports, from NASCAR to basketball, especially Purdue Basketball.  She enjoyed going to her nephew’s ball games and taking her dog on golf cart rides.  Family was Jennifer’s main priority and she loved spending time with them.  She was always helping people and was always the first to lend a helping hand when you needed one.  She will be greatly missed by everyone who knew her and loved her. 

According to her wishes cremation rites have been accorded.  A Celebration of Life Gathering will be held from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. Sunday, March 12, 2023, at Woodbury Falls, 19972 Woodbury Hill, Danville, IL 61832.  In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital.  The family has entrusted the Blurton Funeral Home, in Potomac to assist them in honoring Jennifer’s life.  Condolences may be shared with the family on her everlasting memorial page at:  www.BlurtonFuneralHomes.com.
