Jennifer J. Sinclair

Jennifer J. Sinclair, 62, of Hoopeston, Il, passed away suddenly on April 18, 2022, from a cardiac event.  Jennifer also bravely struggled with cancer and was taken from us too soon.

Jennifer was preceded in death by her parents, Guy E. (Gene) and Margaret Sinclair of Hoopeston, Il.  She is survived by her two sisters, Ann Sinclair of Phoenix, AZ, Toni (Greg) Morgan of Libertyville, Il and her brother, Larry (Muffy) Sinclair of Louisville, KY.  She is also survived by two nieces, Leya (Kevin) Carstensen, Abby VanWinkle, three nephews, Jake (Becca) Sinclair, Lucas (Kimberly) Sinclair, and Ian (Diana) Sinclair and eight grandnieces and nephews (Max, Morgan, Maggie, Mary, Samantha, Henry, Eleanor, and Anisa).

Jennifer was a member of the 1978 graduating class of Hoopeston High School.  She continued her education at Danville Area Community College, earning an A.S. in Business Data Processing (1981) and then a B.S. in Computer Science (1990) from North Central College in Naperville. 

She worked for AT&T Southern Business Sales beginning in 1989 and then worked for Lucent Technologies from 1991-2003, first as a software tester and then a quality assurance engineer.  Since 2009, she worked for Walmart in Oswego, Il, most recently in the Receiving Department.

Jennifer had a great passion for country music and for NASCAR, meeting many people who shared her enthusiasm for it.  She loved animals and had pets most of her life.  She also stayed well connected to friends and classmates from Hoopeston, helping to organize class reunions and attending the Sweet Corn Festival each year.  Her smile, her laughter, and her joy in the simple things in life will be greatly missed by all. 

Funeral services for Jennifer will be held Saturday, May 7 at Blurton Funeral Home, 309 East Washington St, Hoopeston, Il.  Visitation will be held from 10AM to 12 Noon CST followed immediately by a funeral service and burial at Floral Hill Cemetery.  In addition, or in lieu of flowers, donations can be made to
