Jerry W. Evitts

Jerry W. Evitts, 72, of Hoopeston, passed away at 5:17 p.m. Friday, April 10, 2020, at his home.

Jerry was born on December 30, 1947, in Beech Creek, Kentucky, the son of William Carlos and Violet (Evitts) Landram. 

He is survived by three sisters-Brenda (Thomas) Pope of Lisle, Illinois, Patricia Landram Herman of Hoopeston and Sherry (Jose) Ramos of Pinson, Alabama; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents and brother- Lawrence Lee Landram.

Jerry was an avid Chicago Cubs fan.

Due to current health concerns a private graveside service will be held with a memorial service at a later date.  He will be laid to rest in Floral Hill Cemetery.  The family has entrusted the Blurton Funeral Home to assist them in honoring Jerry’s life.  Condolences may be shared with the family on his everlasting memorial page at:  www.BlurtonFuneralHomes.com.
