Joanne Beatrice (Warner) Catron

Joanne Beatrice Catron, 82, of Sanford, Florida, formerly of Hoopeston, passed away September 24, 2018, at home.

Joanne was born on September 26, 1935, in Hoopeston, the daughter of Wilbur and Viola (Robertson) Warner.  She married John W. Catron Sr. on June 4, 1954, in Hoopeston.  He preceded her in death on November 24, 2009.

She is survived by two daughters- Connie Catron of Sanford, Florida and Sandra (Kenneth) Harrelson of Altamonte Springs, Florida; one son- Russell Catron of Apopka, Florida; five brothers- Jerry Warner of Hoopeston, Art Warner of Rockford, Illinois, Steve Warner of Clovis, New Mexico, Mike Warner of Hoopeston and Irvin Warner of Hoopeston; three grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, son-John w. Catron Jr., grandson- Brian Harrelson, three brothers- William Warner, Paul Warner and Bud Warner, and three sisters- Betty Horridge, Ruthann Bell and Edith Catron.

Joanne enjoyed gardening, playing cards, going to the beach and spending time with her family.

A Memorial Service will be held at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, October 27, 2018, at Blurton Funeral Home, in Hoopeston, with Tom Silzer officiating.  Visitation will be from 12:00 p.m. to 1:00 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home.  She will be laid to rest following the services in Floral Hill Cemetery.  According to her wishes cremation rites have been accorded.  The family has entrusted the Blurton Funeral Home to assist them in honoring Joanne’s life.  Memories or photos may be shared with the family on her everlasting memorial page at:  www.BlurtonFuneralHomes.com.
