Larry Robert Lawless Obituary

Larry Robert Lawless, 77, of Potomac, passed away at 7:20 a.m. Thursday, June 18, 2020, at Carle Foundation Hospital, in Urbana.

Larry was born on December 13, 1942, in Potomac, the son of Sellis R. and Laura L. (Downing) Lawless.  He married Carol Bergstrom in 1962, in Crown Point, Indiana.  She survives.

He is also survived by two daughters- Lori (Dale) Wright and Cindi (Matthew) Huls both of Potomac; son- Tim (Buffy) Lawless of Potomac; grandchildren- Josh (Emily), Jess, Isaac Matticin and Riley; great-grandchildren- Atley and Jessica; brother- Ron (Donna) Lawless of Potomac; sister- Shirleen Esworthy of Catlin; brother-in-law- Rick Johnson of Potomac; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents and sister- Joni Johnson.

Larry graduated from Potomac High School, in 1961.  In the late 1950’s Larry danced on area television dance shows.  He worked for several years as a mason, until his retirement in 2009.  Larry was proud of his masonry work and was involved in building the highest scaffolding for the Indianapolis 500, in 1958.  He enjoyed working, listening to music and most of all spending time with his family.
