Linda “Linny” Dawes, 71, of Danville, passed away at 4:35 a.m. Thursday, October 24, 2024, at Schultz House, in Danville.
She was born on January 28, 1953, in Jamesburg, Illinois, the daughter of Curtis and Blanche (Limp) Dawes. She is survived by her nieces and nephews- Brad (Barb) Moews, Brenda (Frank) Doster, Brian (Diane) Moews, Amber (Brian) Smith and Angela (Michael) Heller; sister-in-law- Terri Dawes; and several great nieces and nephews and great-great nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, two sisters- Sandra Heffern and Sharon Moews and brother- Wayne Dawes.
Linda attended the Lincoln Developmental Center in Lincoln, Illinois and Meyer Developmental Center in Decatur, Illinois. She lived at the Schultz House in Danville, for 34 years. She loved to sing, watch The Price is Right, doing jigsaw puzzles and helping people.
Graveside services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, October 29, 2024, at the Potomac Cemetery. Memorials may be in Linda’s name to the Schultz House.
