Linda Lou Franklin

Linda Lou Franklin, 78, of Hoopeston, passed away at 3:18 p.m. Sunday, November 6, 2022, at her home.

Linda was born on February 5, 1944, in Henning, Illinois, the daughter of Glen and Leota (Grider) Watson.  She married Ronald E. Franklin on July 21, 2001, in Hoopeston.  He preceded her in death on November 2, 2005.

She is survived by her four sons- Tony Simonton of Danville, Troy (Missy) Simonton of Lafayette, Indiana, Josh (Rebecca) Simonton and Jason (Natasha) Simonton both of Hoopeston; thirteen grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and one brother- Carroll (Joyce) Watson of Oakwood, Illinois.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, one son- Tim Simonton and one daughter- Lori Simonton.

Linda graduated from Henning High School, in 1962.  She worked for several years at Creative Products, in Rossville, until her retirement in 2010.  She enjoyed doing wood search and puzzle books, watching the Hallmark channel, collecting angels and planting flowers in front of her house.  Linda was an avid Tom Brady fan and enjoyed watching him play for the Patriots and Buccaneers. 

Visitation will be from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. Thursday, November 10, 2022, at Blurton Funeral Home, in Hoopeston.  Cremation rites will follow the visitation and she will be laid to rest in the Potomac Cemetery.  The family has entrusted the Blurton Funeral Home to assist them in honoring Linda’s life.  Condolences may be shared with the family on her everlasting memorial page at:  www.BlurtonFuneralHomes.com.
