Marcella M. (Floyd) Ingram

Marcella M. Ingram, 85, of Hoopeston, passed away at 7:29 p.m. Sunday, December 12, 2021, at her home.

Marcella was born on December 20, 1935, in Hoopeston, the daughter of Jeff and Dora Ellen (Burton) Floyd.  She married Wendell Ingram on August 5, 1972, in Hoopeston.  He preceded her in death on November 13, 1978.

She is survived by two daughters- Jenny (Ingram) and son-in-law Jerry Vessels of Springville, IN and Missy (Ingram) Miller of Springfield, IL; two grandchildren- Kathryn and Marco Vessels; two sisters- Lucy Cross and Sue Zarate both of Hoopeston; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, three brothers and one sister.

Marcella graduated from Hoopeston High School, in 1953.  She worked for 43 years at Bohn Aluminum, until her retirement.  She was a member of the First Church of God, in Hoopeston, where she was very active and a faithful follower of God.  Marcella loved to travel, and she has been able to visit 38 of the 50 states.  She also enjoyed doing word searches, reading, playing board games and Skip-Bo and spending time with her family. 

A Celebration of Marcella’s Life will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, December 18, 2021, at the First Church of God, in Hoopeston, with Pastor Carlos Sanchez officiating.  Burial will follow the service in Floral Hill Cemetery.  Visitation will be from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Friday, at the church.  Memorials may be made to the First Church of God, in Hoopeston.  The family has entrusted the Blurton Funeral Home to assist them in honoring Marcella’s life.  Viewing of her memorial video and condolences may be shared with the family on her everlasting memorial page at:  www.BlurtonFuneralHomes.com.
