Marilyn Elizabeth (Morgan) Trimble, 77, of Rossville, Illinois, departed to be face to face with the Lord on Tuesday, August 11, 2020.
She is currently reunited with family and friends that had predeceased her: Vearl and Iva Morgan (Parents), Vearl (Sonny) Morgan, Juanita Shappard, Linda Sands, Judy Rotramel (siblings), and Tamera Trimble (daughter). Marilyn predeceases her one true love, Jim Trimble, children Tim Trimble, Jamie Trimble, Nancy (Trimble) Stacey, Kaye (Trimble) Cartright, Mike Trimble, and 24 grandchildren/great grandchildren as well as her sisters Gladys (Morgan) Lockwood, Nancy (Morgan) Lofland, Susan Morgan, Jenny (Morgan) Amos, Carol (Morgan) Munck, brother George (Mike) Morgan, and many other family members and friends.
She loved to visit with family and friends and cook many of her unique recipes for all to enjoy. She passed down many of her cooking tips to her sisters, her children and her grandchildren, like her hot-crossed buns, her world famous noodles and most especially her homemade cranberry sauce.
Marilyn was the acknowledged seamstress, cook and homemaker extraordinaire by her younger sisters. When she was swept off her feet by her knight and shining armor, she became the matriarch for her three little sisters and both she and Jim provided a loving home and respite for those younger sisters in addition to providing a loving home for all their very own children and neighborhood kids.
A "Celebration of her life" will be held at the White Oak Barn in Kennekuk Park on Friday, September 11 from 1:00 - 4:00 pm. Please bring a covered dish and copies of photos to share. There will also be a guestbook for all to sign. No flowers please and ALL are welcome.
