Nancy Ann Sandy, 82, of Georgetown, passed away at 9:11 a.m. Wednesday, January 29, 2025, at OSF Heart of Mary Medical Center, in Urbana.

She was born on November 21, 1942, in Cleveland, Ohio, the daughter of Edward and Helen (Slivka) Jaster.  She married Tom Sandy in 1993, in Kennekuk County Park, in Danville.  He preceded her in death on July 18, 2009.

She is survived by one son- Douglas (Paula Beatty) Ewing of Georgetown; grandson- James Douglas Ewing; two great-grandchildren-Matthew and Gabriella Ewing.

She is preceded in death by her parents and husband.

She graduated from John Marshall High School, in Cleveland, Ohio.  She worked for several years at Rantoul Products, until her retirement.  Nancy enjoyed listening to music and loved to laugh.  She was a member of PETA and loved animals, especially horseback riding.  She also enjoyed birds and the outdoors.
