Phillip "Pike" S. Pikor Obituary

Phillip “Pike” S. Pikor, 77, of Ludlow, passed away at 7:22 p.m. Wednesday, June 26, 2024, at Heritage Health, in Hoopeston.

Phil was born on July 17, 1946, in Champaign, the son of Joseph and Wilma (Taylor) Pikor.  He married Sally Matlock Whitson on October 9, 2004, in Champaign.  She survives.

He is also survived by one son- Todd Pikor of St. Charles, Illinois; two step-daughters- Shaundi Whitson of Rantoul and Kinsie Whitson of Buckley; one step-son- Hunter Whitson of Decatur; eight grandchildren; two brothers- Dale (Norma) Gustafson of Paducah, Kentucky and Gary (Nancy) Gustafson of Wentzville, Missouri; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his parents and sister-Marcia Keck.

Phil graduated from Rantoul High School.  He worked for over 30 years at the Rantoul Power Plant, until his retirement.  He was a member of the St. Malachi Catholic Church, in Rantoul.   Phil and Sally enjoyed fishing together, especially in the upper peninsula of Wisconsin.  He also enjoyed going antiquing, going to garage sales and flea markets.  Phil was an outstanding dancer and enjoyed going dancing.

According to his wishes cremation rites will be arranged and a memorial service will be held at a later date.  The family has entrusted the Blurton Funeral Home, in Hoopeston to assist them in honoring Phil’s life.  Condolences may be shared with the family on his everlasting memorial page at: www.BlurtonFuneralHomes.com.
