Ricky Crippin, 67, of Danville, passed away at 3:28 p.m. Thursday, June 13, 2024, at Arcadia Care, in Danville.
Ricky was born on March 7, 1957, in Danville, Illinois. He was previously married to Gloria Mockbee, in 1976. She preceded him in death on January 29, 2022.
He is survived by one daughter- Jennifer Echevarria of Danville; one son- Jason Crippin of Waynetown, Indiana; four grandchildren- Colin Crippin, Brandon (Autumn) Grabhorn, Emma (Donavin)Lacombe and Ricky Echevarria; two great-grandchildren-Silvia Grabhorn and Ryleigh Helka; brother- Terry (Sandy) Crippin of Fairmount; two sisters- Vickie Quick of Oakwood and Judy Moreman of Danville; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, son- Joshua Crippin, brothers- Randy Crippin and Tom Crippin Jr. and a nephew- Randy Moreman.
Ricky graduated from Catlin High School. He served in the United States Army. Ricky worked for several years as a truck driver. He enjoyed riding his Harley Davidson, shooting guns, hunting, fishing and spending time with his grandchildren. He also enjoyed a good meal while being with his family.
A celebration of his life will be held at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, June 23rd, 2024, at Blurton Funeral Home, in Potomac. Visitation will be from 12:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. Sunday, at the funeral home. He will be laid to rest following the services in Potomac Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the donor’s choice.
