Robert "Bob" Dale Uden Obituary

Robert “Bob” Dale Uden, 77, of Hoopeston, passed away at 4:40 a.m. Sunday, January 5, 2025, at OSF Sacred Heart Medical Center, in Danville.

He was born on February 20, 1947, in Urbana, Illinois, the son of Reemt P. and Jaunita (Evans) Uden.  He is survived by his son- Wes (Paula) Uden of Henry, Illinois; three grandchildren- Haley Fritz, Levi Robbins and Michaela (Joey Heathcoat) Uden; two great-grandchildren- Raelynn Robbins and Charlotte Heathcoat; two brothers- Roger (Cathy) Uden of Hoopeston and Rex (Sandi) Uden of Paxton; sister-in-law- Diane Uden of Royal; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents and brother- Rick Uden.

Bob graduated from Rankin High School, in 1967.  He joined the United States Army and served from 1969 to 1971.  He worked for most of his life as a truck driver and a mechanic.  Bob loved working on cars, especially his 1967 Dodge Coronet.  He also enjoyed camping and getting together with family.

According to his wishes cremation rites will be arranged and a celebration of his life will be held at a later date.  The family has entrusted the Blurton Funeral Home, in Hoopeston, to assist them in honoring Bob’s life.  Condolences may be shared with the family on his everlasting memorial page at:  www.BlurtonFuneralHomes.com.
