Sherie Lee Taylor, aged 75, of Rossville, peacefully passed away at her residence at 1:47 p.m. on Friday, February 21, 2025.
She was born on December 4, 1949, in Danville, the daughter of Charles and Thelma (Hardy) Brake.
She is survived by her daughter Monica Polick of Rossville; son Christopher Taylor; grandson Alek (Kailey) Polick of Rossville; great-grandsons Owen and Elijah Polick; two sisters Sharla Brake of Rossville and Denise (Mark) Ward of Rossville; and two nieces Elizabeth Cole and Renae Ward.
Sherie graduated from Rossville High School in 1969. She dedicated over 30 years to working in home healthcare, following her tenure at GE in Danville. She was a member of Holy Family Catholic Church in Danville. Sherie had a passion for gardening, decorating her home, and cherished spending time with her family, particularly her great-grandsons.
A Mass of Christian Burial is scheduled for 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, February 26, 2025, at St. Anthony’s Catholic Church, with Fr. Ignatius officiating. The burial will take place afterward at Rossville Cemetery. Visitation hours are from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday at Blurton Funeral Home in Hoopeston.
