Shirley "Granny" Lee Van Camp, 82, of Potomac, passed away at 9:20 p.m. Tuesday, June 5, 2018, at home.
Shirley was born on September 2, 1935, in Danville, the daughter of Leonard and Eva (Schweighart) Garland. She married Cedric O. Van Camp on July 16, 1955, in Tilton. He preceded her in death on November 8, 2006.
She is survived by two daughters- Debby Larkin of Potomac and Jeannie Van Camp of Paxton; son- Cedric R. Van Camp of Potomac; four grandchildren- Amy Larkin, Adam Van Camp, Melissa Freeman and Tyrel Truncale; one sister- Connie Shaw of Tilton; 13 great-grandchildren; and 1 great-great grandson- Rhyson who was the apple of her eye.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, grandson- John Tyler and brother-in-law- Edgar “Bud” Shaw.
Shirley graduated from Danville High School. She was a member of the Midwest Bass Association. Shirley enjoyed fishing, gardening, feeding hummingbirds and spending time with her grandchildren.
According to her wishes cremation rites will be accorded and there are not any services scheduled at this time. The family has entrusted the Blurton Funeral Home, in Potomac, to assist them in honoring Shirley’s life.
