Smoky Ray Stevens Obituary

Smoky Ray Stevens, 51, of Lakeland, Florida, formerly of Rossville, Illinois, passed away at 8:36 p.m. April 17, 2024, at Lakeland Regional Medical Center.

He was born on June 18, 1972, in Danville, Illinois, the son of Junior Ray and Christol (Darding) Stevens. 

He is survived by his mother- Christol Stevens of Rossville; three brothers- Keith Darding of Rossville, Major Lee Hatfield of Danville and Rocky Wayne Stevens of Rossville; one sister- Loretta Lynn Noe of Rossville; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his father.

Smoky graduated from Milford High School in 1990.  He worked for several years in construction.  He loved nature, animals and being outdoors.  He especially enjoyed fishing. 

According to his wishes cremation rites will be arranged and there are not any services scheduled at this time.  The family has entrusted the Blurton Funeral Home to assist them in honoring Smoky’s life.  Condolences may be shared with the family on his everlasting memorial page at:  www.BlurtonFuneralHomes.com.
