Funeral Director/Owner
Matt was born and raised in Vandalia, Illinois. While he was in high school, he assisted his dad-Gary in the Fayette County Coroner's office. It was during that time he developed his passion for funeral service and helping families. He attended Vincennes University in Vincennes, Indiana, where he obtained his degree in Mortuary Science. Matt came to the Danville area following his graduation. He married Sarah Reardon, in 2023 and he has three children Marcus, Makayla and Madilyn Blurton. Matt is an avid Kansas City Chiefs and NASCAR fan. When Matt isn't serving families at the funeral home he enjoys traveling, going to NASCAR races, watching football, spending time with his family and being outdoors. Matt's greatest enjoyment is serving families with compassion and treating every person that walks through the funeral home door like family.
Marketing Director/ Funeral Director Assistant
Sarah is a lifelong resident of Potomac, and she is the daughter of Tim Reardon and Lynnette Downing. She graduated from Armstrong Township High School, in 2012. During her time in high school, she was very active in sports, but her passion was basketball. Sarah married Matt in 2023 and became very active in the funeral home. Together they have five children- Marcus, Makayla and Madilyn Blurton and Aliyah and Brantlee Asbury. She enjoys serving families that are going through their most difficult time. Sarah is an avid Chicago Cubs fan, enjoys going to concerts and enjoys spending her time with her family and friends.
Wolfe-Blurton Funeral Chapel Office Manager
Sherry was born and raised in Vandalia IL. She worked for 20 years in the Fayette County Courthouse in the Circuit Clerks office. In 2007 she and her husband Gary moved to Danville IL to be closer to their son Matt and his family. Sherry works at Danville Polyclinic in the accounting department and helps out at the funeral homes in the office and visitations and services. Sherry is a member of the Women Making a Difference in Hoopeston. She enjoys being active in the community and is looking forward to meeting new faces in the community.
Operations Manager/Funeral Director Assistant
Aaron was born and raised in the Armstrong/Potomac area. He graduated from Armstrong Township High School, in 1993. Aaron has worked on the farm most of his life. He is a Master Mason, member of Olive Branch Lodge #38, Gao Grotto, 32nd Degree in the Valley of Danville Scottish Rite and also a Shriner. He is also a member of the #10 Church of Christ and an ordained minister through Universal Life Church Ministries. Aaron is an avid dirt track late model fan and enjoys watching any types of auto racing. He is also an avid Pittsburgh Steelers and Chicago White Sox fan. Aaron has a gift to make people smile and laugh and to see the bright side of things.
