Nikki and I swam together in high school, and what I remember about her is she never had a bad attitude, and no matter what was going on, she had such a positive outlook on life. She was by far the most gifted athlete I ever had the opportunity to train with. She was one of the few people in life that could lift up an entire group of people and make them better. I am so sorry to hear about this loss. This is one of the most unexpected and saddest things, and I hope every one if her family can find peace with this.

I haven't lived in the area or talked with many of my highschool classmates since graduation in '09, and I wish I'd talked to Nikki more. An endearing sweetheart, from silly moments in swimming to watching her practice (chasing team members around with large logs) in cross country and track and making us all laugh until we cried, she has always had a beautiful soul. I wish I could put into words how important it is that family and friends realize how precious and well-loved she was and is. Many soothing whispers, hugs, and prayers to all. Thinking of you.

Nikki was my best friend and even though we didnt talk for awhile i thought of her almost daily so did my daughter. I remeber when we were going to college she was pregnant and when we ate lunch she had to have the same thing everyday fries with 2 cups of cheese and then she got me addicted so thats what we ate everyday. Ill never forget her the first time i met her i thought in my head she is the prettiest person i had ever seen. I still think i will never see someone more beautiful. I will always love you nikki

As i lie awake crying i keep thinking to myself as i lay with her son who reminds me so much of her that no matter what i will make sure he is taken care of for the rest of his life like she would have wanted. I will never forget you nikki as long as i have him in my life. I will treat him as you would have and love him as hard as you would have. Im so sorry to the family to loose such an amazing piece of your life and :heart:. If you ever need anything i will always be there for you. I have never lost anyone that ment so much to me and i didn't realize how much it hurts.

Beautiful young lady inside an out. A smile an laugh that was so warm an genuine you always knew it came straight from her big heart. She loved everyone around her and made it a point to make sure to show it especially to her family. Called "Queenie" when she was little made that smile so big an bright an eyes sparkles with giggles that always made us giggle along with her. Fly high precious baby girl. Although we weren't around Nikki very often while she was growing up, we grew to love her through the many hilarious stories told by Goyita and Dick, Granny and Paw, throughout the years. Each story was always told while taking turns between them and displaying their pride and unconditional love for her. My favorite stories were: the kitty litter box, kicking the pop machines, Dick swinging her in a laundry basket, and why she changed her name from "The Princess" to "The Queen". Although Nikki has gone ahead to be with Jesus, she has left many precious memories for Cayden and those who loved her to ponder until we meet again. You were a Corker, "Queen Nikki", and much loved."

Nikki was my best friend and a sister to me. We hadn't talked in a few months but we had the most ridiculous conversations and times. I'll never forget her laugh and telling me how everything was "so yucky dude" I love her and I'll miss her everyday. I know she's flying high and in a better place.

Then we step aside and let you show off. You in bodied every breath of that love. You fell in love with swimming from the moment you got in the pool. You were loyal, dedicated, hardworking and willing to get em' in the moment. You stole the stage alone with your best friends at your side. I miss those times and will cherish every moment we had together. I'm sorry you had to leave us so early. You were a very big part of who I was as your coach and who I became as everyone else's coach later. I'll never forget the time I went with your mom to visit you at your dorm in college and little Nikki was with us. We walked in and you were holding a basket full of laundry and Nikki got so excited when she seen you saying "Bubba Bubba!" She loved you so much! I'm so sorry for the loss of this beautiful angel.
