Karen and family - so sorry to hear about your mother's passing. I have a lot of good memories of East Lynn. I remember one time we all went out to your house and rode a horse. I think I had a little problem riding but it was fun. Your Mother was always very nice. Will be thinking about you and family this weekend. She had a wonderful and long life.Janice Dowell

Karen, my deepest sympathy and condolences on the loss of your mother. 107! God loved her. You probably don't remember me, since it has been many many years that I road the East Lynn school bus, that would stop and pick you up. We lived on the same road to the east, past the Vic Rush farm. I went to East Lynn school for 4 years with my brother, Jim and sister, Lois. I believe you were in high school at the time. Every time we would go by your farm, Lois and I would say there the Hammerton's. My dad lost his eye sight at age 50, and passed at the age of 77. Mom passed at the age of 98. I don't get back to the Hoopeston area as often, but I have fond memories of the farm life and our neighbors.Nancy Bushong

Coach Hammerton...Just wanted to say our thoughts and prayers are with you and your family. Your mom lived a long and wonderful life and I'm sure you have lots of memories. I had the pleasure of meeting her in Danville when we played a summer basketball tournament there. We had a great talk about farming and the family I have back in that area. Again our thoughts and prayers are with you. Greg Clore & Family

Wayne, Karen and families, We were sorry to hear about Aunt Bertha but how thankful we are that she had such a long blessed life.
