Bruce Lee Eldridge

Bruce "Big Bruce" Lee Eldridge, 40, of Rossville, passed away at 9:24 p.m., Sunday, March 9, 2014.
Bruce was born on February 18, 1974, in Danville, the son of Marvin and Mary Jane "Janey" (Loden) Eldridge. He married Jennitta Thacker, in 2005 in Newport, Indiana. She survives.
He is also survived by two daughters- Rose Eldridge of Marion, Ohio and Kaitlyn Eldridge of Hoopeston; three sons- Marvin Eldridge of Clinton, Indiana, David and Allen Eldridge of Marion, Ohio; mother- Janey (Allen) Mertz of Rossville; father- Marvin Eldridge of Mesa, Arizona; one brother- Anthony Mertz of Joliet, Illinois; two sisters- Rose (David) Kiser and Christina (Pete) Gossett of Rossville; special friend- Brittani Pickett of Hoopeston; and all of the Loden Family.
He was preceded in death by his sister- Brandy Mertz.
Bruce attended the Rossville United Methodist Church. Bruce was always known as a neat freak and he enjoyed listening to music. He also loved spending time with his friends and making new friends.
A Celebration of Bruce's Life will be at 6:00 p.m. Thursday, March 13, 2014 at the Brown-Alkire Funeral Chapel, with Pastor Carl Mesiti officiating. Visitation will be from 4:00-6:00 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home. Following the services cremation rites will be accorded. Memorials may be made to the family. The family has entrusted the Brown-Alkire Funeral Chapel to assist them in honoring Bruce's life.
